Small businesses are seen as positive and are in a unique position to create valuable customer experiences. Small businesses are trusted for their integrity, community engagement, and customer service. There's ten tips to help grow the appeal of your brand.
1.Whats your brand? It's more than just your logo, it's all the experiences customers have with your business. From visually, what you do, how it's done, marketing and social media, these all help establish trust and credibility in your business.

2. Stand Out
What makes your brand unique? How are you different from your competitors?
3. Offer great products and services
Word of mouth is the greatest lead generator. Customers will return to a product or service that exceeds expectations. Always put the product first.
4. Let customers know the face behind the product
Being an actively engaged owner keeps employees structured and motivated. A business left to run itself can lead to sloppy service and also a poor product.
5. Get your name and logo right
This is key for brand recognition by using an easily recognizable name and logo that appeals to your target market. This name and logo combination should also reflect the nature of your business, personality, your market and overall business tone.
6. Have a distinct voice
Focus on how you and your employees interact and communicate with customers via face to face, telephone, and social media. Not sure what "voice" should be, then emulate other top brands. What do other companies do that makes you feel good about doing business with them
7. Build a community around what you do
Have a strong community online and off to achieve this. Many successful brands concentrate nearly exclusively in online and offline community building as opposed to traditional advertising. Good examples include Facebook and Twitter. As for offline these include local events, fundraisers, charities, workshops, and loyal customer events.
8. Be an advocate for your business, not just a salesman
Be a brand advocate, have goals such as: Be the number one salesman/cheerleader/fan of your own business. Your passion makes others passionate. Tell your products story.Has your product helped people?
9. Be reliable
Referrals are crucial for small business so letting down customers can be harmful. Brand loyalty lies in great service. Stand by promises, if you declare that you deliver in 30 minutes or less THEN STAND BY THAT.
10. Have a value proposition
Value can define and differentiate you from the competition. What niche does your business serve? What strengths do you have that make you better than you competitors? It could be a multitude of things such as great customer service, product quality, innovation, or any combination of these traits and more.
